This privacy policy is about how we collect, store, and use the personal information that you provide to us. By placing an order on thegoyabrand.com, Goyita Limited has a lawful basis for processing your information (name, address, email and telephone number, payment method) due to the requirement of this information in order to successfully receive, accept payment and process your order. The processing of your online order is only possible if you consent to the data that you provide being transferred through the third party web platform that we use (Shopify) by completing forms on the Site; in the shopping cart you have the choice to tick the box consenting ‘I agree’. Goyita Ltd never sells or transfers your data to third parties without consent. Please be aware that Goyita Ltd uses the Shopify web platform; as such, Goyita Ltd is the ‘controller’ of your data and Shopify is the ‘processor’. Note that Shopify have their own privacy policy which you can read via this link. If you consent to subscribe to our newsletter via the subscribe link on our website, your data is transferred to the marketing platform MailChimp; again, in this case, GOYA is the 'controller' of your data and Mailchimp is the 'processor' - you can read the Mailchimp privacy policy via this link.

Your data (name, address, email and telephone number, payment method) is stored on the web platform that we use. From time to time your data may be exported to local files (excel/word) and used for company accountancy purposes. Note that these files are not printed in hard copy or shared outside of our company. Your postal address and telephone number are passed to our shipping partners in order to arrange delivery of your order – this is a necessary transfer of your information to a third party in order to fulfil the order placed on our website; by clicking ‘I agree’ and giving consent at the checkout cart we have your permission to process your data as such.

To manage and optimise the customer relationship we may contact you for service reasons by telephone or email using the data that you consent to provide us.

Your payment details will be encrypted before they are submitted to us over the internet. Payments made on the Site are made through our payment gateway provider. You will be providing credit or debit card information directly to such payment provider which operates a secure server to process payment details, encrypting your credit/debit card information and authorising payment. The data retention period (the time for which we hold your data) is three years. If you would like us to delete your data from our records then you must notify us in writing to customercare@thegoyabrand.com or by post by sending a letter by to Goyita Ltd, 16 Arlington Street, London, SW1A 1RD. You may be asked for proof of postage. Once we receive your request for erasure, we have up to 30 days to delete your data and destroy any records on which it may appear. If you feel that there is a problem with the way that we are handling your data, you have the right to complain to the ICO.

You have the right to be informed, the right of access, rectification, erasure, restrict processing, the right to data portability, the right to object and the right not to be subject to automated decision-making including profiling.

Price conversion

By using our website, you (the visitor) agree to allow third parties to process your IP address, in order to determine your location for the purpose of currency conversion. You also agree to have that currency stored in a session cookie in your browser (a temporary cookie which gets automatically removed when you close your browser). We do this in order for the selected currency to remain selected and consistent when browsing our website so that the prices can convert to your (the visitor) local currency.

Whilst the content of your cart is might be displayed in your local currency or USD or EUR, all orders are processed in EUR.  You will checkout using EUR at the most current exchange rate.
